Folly is like mainstream media if it weren't mainstream at all and was written by a 22-year-old in his free time.
My name is Jaipal Virdi. I'm a recent graduate navigating what I hope will be a journey into the medical field. I have a love for politics and research, but I feel like both fields have significant issues with dissemination. The former is riddled with bias, short-sighted storytelling, and sensationalism. The latter is often inaccessible to people without a medical background.
My aim with this newsletter is to tackle either a current event, a research article, or hopefully some intersection of both, in layman's terms, while being as fair and comprehensive as possible.
This is a learning experience for me, and I hope to actively improve as a writer and researcher, and hopefully become more educated about the field as a whole. However, that doesn't mean I plan to sacrifice credibility or reliability in my writing. That's why I intend to work on any given article at a monthly rate to ensure that nothing but my best is put out there.
That said, if you notice any inaccuracies or have feedback at any point, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at jaipalvirdicontact@gmail.com. I want to improve and provide something worth reading.
Hopefully the scrolling text that says "Nonsensically good..." doesn't turn out to be just nonsensical!
